11 cyclists rode for 30 miles on a beautiful day with almost  no humidity. There were 6 cyclists who had never ridden with dVELO in Washington, DC. Robin Horwitz flew into Washington, DC from California for this ride. He originally planned to host the 2-day seminar on June 29  but had to postpone the event to October due to a lack of interpreters. At least he enjoyed riding with our group to make up for the seminar. He is a Maryland native and he felt right at home.

Bethany Peacock from Florida was here for a summer program at Gallaudet and she didn’t have a bike with her but found a way to get a bike and join us. Chie, a dVELO member brought her cycling buddy Shannon.

Dana and Heather Aranzi who rode across the country a few weeks ago also participated. They felt very comfortable with our ride because it was only 30 miles compared to the thousands of miles that they spent on their bikes across the country.
