In this video, Ralph Fernandez explains the status of Deaflympics 2013 in regards to cycling events. All is good to go! However, there are a few things that he hopes would happen:
- The use of a velodrome for 1000m Sprint and 50K points race cycling events
- More female cyclists to try out for the Games
- 2013 Deaflympics host country Bulgaria has already put down mountain cycling to be part of the Games. To make sure that it will happen, you NEED to contact your country’s deaf sports federation to let them know of your interest in being part of the mountain bike competition.
One more important note: Interested participants need to complete their preliminary entry by 13 July 2012.
