Bike New York 2015

dVELO is once again participating in the annual Bike New York, the largest mass-cycling event in the United States. The 2015 Five Boro Bike Tour gives the 34,000 cyclists the unforgettable experience of riding 40 miles of traffic-free streets through all five boroughs starting in Manhattan then riding through Central Park, Harlem, Bronx, Queen, Brooklyn and ending in Staten Island.

For the past six years, dVELO has held a special section near the front for all deaf-related participants. The rest of the riders will be with the estimated 32,000 riders in the back. Price to participate in the event will be $105 per cyclist. This is on a first come first served basis, dVELO members who have paid their $5 annual membership fee will get first opportunity to receive the special passes. Every year, since 2007, these special spots sell out quickly and we expect the same this year.

What is the $5 annual membership fee and what are the benefits? Here at dVELO we work hard to keep you informed about rides that are fun and exciting. The membership fee, among other things, helps us to secure special passes for events such as as the 2015 Bike New York. It's a great benefit and members get first priority to the passes.
