Route: Historic West DC Post Trip – 30 miles round trip

Meet: Gallaudet University Parking Lot - Tower Clock before 7:45am

We will ride for about 11 miles to see original west corner post of Washington DC at the Andrew Ellicott Park: 2824 N. Arizona Street (sometimes listed as 2824 Meridian Street), south of West Street in Falls Church, VA. We will ride past US Capitol, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, across Potomac River and use south Mount Vernon Trail. We will stop briefly at Gravelly Point Park by DCA Airport to see planes landing and departure across our heads! Then exit west into Four Mile Trail to Washington and Old Dominion Trail to Great Falls Street. After visiting the historic west DC Post, we can ride back on the same route or use Custis Trail along the I-66 where there are more hills toward Rosslyn then go south along Potomac River to I-395 and go over the river to Gallaudet University.
