Update: World Deaf Cycling Championships – 15 January 2010

Hello and Happy New Year!

You can see it is cold and snowy here right now. Have you been cycling? I don’t think so — it’s too cold. Those who live in Taiwan, Australia, or other countries in that part of the world have it good right now. It’s warm there and perfect for training.

Plans for the World Deaf Cycling Championships this coming June 10-15, 2011 are coming along well. Members of the organization for the deaf hosting the WDCC, the Association Sportive des Sourds du Quebec (ASSQ), have been working with the Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes (FQSC) to plan the daily schedule of races. They anticipate completing this shortly and as soon as the schedule is ready, it will be shared with you all.

Please continue to encourage females to participate in the WDCC. Some females have indicated interest, and we are still seeking more.

Also, please send your audiograms in as soon as possible. This is a key requirement for participation in the WDCC, and the sooner you send your audiogram in, the better.

See you there!
