
Renate Telser (ITA) won the first gold medal ever in a women's event in the history of the World Deaf Cycling Championships when she captured first time in the individual time trial. Long Hoi (MAC) placed second and Alisa Budniudnikayte (RUS) came in third. Five female cyclists representing the Russian Federation, Italy, United States of America, and Macau took part in this inaugural women's event.

Dmitriy Rozanov (RUS) completed the 39 kilometers of the men's individual time trial in 51 minutes and six second to grab the gold medal. Nicholas Schrieber (USA) placed second and Ivan Makarov (RUS) came in third.
