2011 World Deaf Cycling Championships – 50K Point Race

Two Russians worked together to capture the gold and silver in the 50K point race. Dimitry Razanov (RUS) jumped into first place quickly when he broke away from the pack in the middle of the event and stayed solo for about ten laps, earning eight consecutive 5-point awards. Trevor Kosa (USA), Reece van Beek (AUS), Jean Facconnier (BEL) and Ivan Makarov (RUS) caught up with Razanov for the last few laps. Razanov and Makarov worked together to get Makarov the additional points he needed to jump ahead of Kosa, who was then in second place, and capture silver. Kosa ended the race in third. Overall, Razanov earned 55 points, Makarov finished with 30, and Kosa had 27 points.
