Ride Guidelines

All rides are open to everyone. All riders are to:

  1. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and be ready to leave on time.  Rides will start on time.
  2. Make sure your bike is in proper working order before you arrive.
  3. Carry a spare tube, patch kit, water bottle, money for meal or bring your own, and your pager if you have one.
  4. Practice safety and obey all traffic laws.
    • Obey all applicable traffic regulations, signs, signals and markings
    • Keep right: drive with traffic, not against it. Drive single file.
    • Watch out for car doors opening or cars pulling into traffic.
    • Protect yourself at night with the required reflectors and lights
    • Use hand signals to indicate, turning or stopping.
  5. Wear a helmet.
  6. Do not “bike off” more than you can do. Go on rides within your ability, interest and experience.
