The Ride with Gallaudet President is 30 miles, which is doable for cyclists of almost all levels. The route is mostly flat, except for bridges and the road past the Capitol Building. Be sure to follow the directions as you ride.

Leaving the Ride
If you need to leave the Ride for any reason, we recommend the following locations:
Metro: The Ride passes several Metro stations. Bikes are allowed on the subway on weekends. Please see the Metrorail map here for more information.
Hitching a ride with “SAG”: We will distribute an e-mail address for our Support and Gear (SAG) driver the morning of the ride. If you run out of steam or fall too far behind the Ride, pull off to the side of the route, send a message to that address, and wait for further instructions. The SAG driver will take you and your bike to the end point of the Ride, back at Gallaudet University.
Medical concerns: If you feel that you need medical attention, request help immediately from anyone nearby or a police officer. Do not wait for the SAG driver.
